Waking up even before my alarm rang, my biological alarm is somewhat embedded and I am not able to sleep in anymore.

Waking up to a hot stone spa and at the same time yearning for French Toast at Moontree47. Headed there rightaway thinking that I still do have time while waiting for the King. It was quite a number of people and I ended up waiting for my french toast when I decided to check on the flight arrival, realising that I was actually late for the pick up. Feeling different this time. A part of me, am glad that he is here, another, I am not too sure. I would say I am not too sure of what is happening. Honestly, I love the time, the company, the conversations and the things we did. Perhaps, the activities were things I usually do, even when am alone just that it is different when I have him around, different as in I have him around. Yea, deep inside me, I miss him a lot. There are so many things I would want him to know, to tell him, to share with him but knowing the truth and the fact behind the mask that he has put up, yes, it hurts me more. It hurts me deeper when I have to pretend, that I didn't know about it and he has to deny it. Nothing about me I told him is not true, but everything he tells me has to go through a filtering, doubting and a validation process. Actually, that is what I am tired of. I have been telling myself that I can't do this any further, many times indeed but I, to no avail, fail to do that. Never once I was not there for him when am here, he never does the same. Never have the same treatment and I always remember there were once he told me he has commitment. That phrase alone kept running in my head. Now that I knew about his commitment, the entire situation actually left me standing all alone at a crossroads. I am indeed week inside. Very. Each time I look at him, I have to tell myself to retrieve.

It is hard, each time I manage to stand, he will be there to push me off again and the process of getting up gets tougher.

I really miss all the times we shared but its about time to draw the line. I am not fit to be in your dramas. I just a girl who listens and trusts you. You just need to tear me apart and I got tired of asking and telling you the same old thing. Nothing at all change and that includes my feelings but the situation is. Thanks for spending the little time with me. Don't hurt the heart that loves you.

... and am putting my thoughts in words again, today. Its a long tiring day, enjoyed myself and with many tiny thoughts crossed my mind. Yes, he is here just that we did not see each other. I have suppressed myself, so much that I know I can't handle anymore. He watched me broken down in tears, he did not lend a hand. He knows. I have forgiven you too many times just because I love you but you took me for granted. Call me stupid for trusting you as it was all because how much you have showed me and I totally believed that I am certain that you are the one. You filled me love, so much that I can forget the world, dropped everything around me and just slot you in whenever you are here. There is a point where it crossed my head that I might regret letting you invade me. You had me, you fooled me.

I just couldn't understand why another lie :) I can take in no more. I am superbly disappointed that you did it again. You lied again. I love you, but not your lies. You cheated on me, you can do it again. I have told you everything I wanted to. It was a great time being with you minus the lies. I wish you were able to be honest with me and share yourself with me. Regardless the disappointment, anger and being hurt tremendously, I am true to you. I miss calling you Ahb. Now that I have to pull back and control, wrap up my feelings. I can't afford to fall any harder. Thank you for the experience and goodbye.

Life goes on. I've been keeping myself really busy with work. Yea. Only work. So much to do, yet so little time. Oh, well. I still reward myself after all the sweat and tears I put into my career. I am glad for who I am yet still. I got back from China not too long ago and I could tell this is one of the toughest backpacking trip I have with the crew. I love it.

There were so many things I thought of in the trip and one thing for sure, I managed to put them in my phone cuz am afraid that once I come back, everything in my head at that very moment, will just slipped off and once my fingers touch the keyboard, they will freeze and I know not what to write anymore. Its one of the trip that I pen down most of my thoughts and put them word by word. Yes I did. Throughout the entire train ride, I did not just sleep despite the fact that I was obviously deprive of it. At the corner of my mind, I still have you and I always wonder, things will be different if you were here, with me. As I was jotting down my thoughts, it some what activated my tear glance. "Big girls don't cry", remember? Flashes of good times were running through my head, and obviously, I miss you. It hurts so much, when some unwanted thoughts crept in. Things like, you don't do what you have promised and cooked up with excuses. You could just tell me the truth. Probably you don't care anymore. All I wanted was just honesty, being transparent with each other, just like how I shared myself with you. Just that, at times, you chose to listen to others than trusting me. Ever since our last conversation, I decided to take the first step, to move away from where I stood, further away from you. I did. I lifted my feet, it felt so heavy, and I gave it all in with all the strength and courage telling myself that there is nothing here left for me anymore. All I have with me was just a broken and shattered heart in pieces, being pierced and stabbed many times, right in the middle. I never thought we would reach here, where we are now. It had been a longggg way. Never once I thought that you would end up this way. So many things I know not about you. You simply chose to hide things away from me. You will just do what you do best, ignore. Guess you have said enough, I have done enough, played my part and extended everything I could. Many times, I told myself to back off. Things will never work anymore, its you who ensure me that you will work things out. I don't know if I should call myself naive. I trust(ed) you all I can. Yet, at the end of the day, I got backfired.

Seen enough, done enough.

You come back to me as you like, leave as you wish. Just like you remembered every bits we spent together, I did not forget either. Thanks for all the good times, and the bad ones makes the entire relation a memorable one. I love the times we shared. The crazy things we talked about and being insane in others' land. I am supposed to be having a webbie session with a friend, I dare not even turn on the webbie when I can't even hold my tears.

Have I ever told you when was the time I enjoyed most with you? Every bit of us being together. I thought we could do much more together, when we still have more plans for 'HH', invading more lands, stuffing you with loadsa foreign local food, more interesting pics, prolly sharing of lenses, etc.

Guess this is gonna be a long goodbye. It was a real good time having you. I didn't move an inch away from you even though I said it numerous times. I am, still, where I am from day one till now. Guess you won't find this anyway. :)

I hope I can return here as my hiding place again :) It used to be the page known by all my friends but I have diverted it. Well, let it be. I just need a space all to myself. I've come to a point that I am totally burnt out. But well again, I have not shared what I have seen and done in China. It was a total whole new "world" kinda thing. The culture and the people I see gave me different inputs from many other directions and indeed, I found something deep inside me that I don't know or probably just found out. To my surprise :) Though I have been thinking about some other stuff at the same time, which kinda ruined my trip, also I regretted for not enjoying the entire trip to the bits. Not that I don't want, just that there are things which are bothering me. When I am away from the Internet, I just wish that Internet does not invade our lives some what.

Can I have a 'reset' button and start anew?

Since I got home from China, the entire perception of being me changed. Or maybe I was manipulated. I see things differently now. First thing first, I've gotta learn how to be selfish. :)

Another tourist attraction, Tanah Lot, Bali. It took us quite long, I don't remember the duration but I remember I have to endure with the booty-ache session. Anyway, we usually sleep. Hence, sleep it is. Sleeping and waking up, sleeping and waking up, yea, that happened to me a couple of times, which then I decided to snap some random pictures.

The Oasis located at the heart of Kuta, Bali which is just a walking distance from the famous Kuta Beach.

For those who needs an accom in Bali, I would recommend The Oasis. Its a superb place, which you'd be able to hear the waves from the room's balcony!

The usual stuff we do. After checking-in, we roam about :)

You can soak as long as you want especially during hot weather like that.

Last but not least, the interior of he room. Super nice aye! Heart the clean and comfy room. It makes me don't feel like waking up the next morn! This is our last accom throughout our entire Indon backpack trip. We always save the best for the last. Even in Cambodia :)

There was a welcome drink for us with breakfast included. The service was good and I really did enjoyed my stay. Next round, anyone?

Another stop to dine, time for din-din in Bali! Before stepping into the restaurant, something interesting caught my eyes. Dinner was at Panorama Bar & Restaurant. The names sounds real good aye!

The food was satisfying. What surprised me was, the restaurant was empty. When I asked, I was told that it was a low peak season, and hence the restaurant is open specially for us, upon request only. Nice! Therefore, in this case, they usually will be closed. The power of Blogpackers :)

Yummilicious stuff when I got up. I love traveling with Satkuru and Angeline cuz they never fail to visit a country without dining like Kings & Queens. Breakfast from Sri Ratih Cottage was fantastic with coffee/tea and a glass of watermelon juice.

. . . and hence there goes my Sunday. Apparently, I received a call early in the morn requesting me to return to work. Oh well, a boring person like wouldn't have much to do in weekends but surprisingly I received an invitation to a food review over at Teluk Bahang, a restaurant which had been established on July 30th 2010.

Guess what? I had a wonderful dinner, thanks to Tree Monkey Restaurant, watching the sun set overseeing the Andaman sea, surrounded by jungle trees and if you're lucky in the day, you'll be able to see monkeys swinging from trees to trees. Worry not. If you bug them not, they will mind their monkey business. I hope the picture of the sunset is captivating enough before I proceed to the food served.

#1: Sunset Paradise - A welcome drink known as Sunset Paradise (RM10.00) was served. The colour of the drink itself resembles sunset and hence Sunset Paradise will only be served 6.00pm - 7.00pm only. Its a bit sourish and ain't that sweet. Hence, don't missed that out while watching the sun.

#2 : Thai Tapas which you may choose any types of appetizers served with sweet chili sauce. There will be 12 options on the menu for you to pick mainly Thai Toast, Money Bag, Herbs Chicken, Spring Roll, Pandan Chicken, Otak-otak, Mussels Salsa, Lemongrass Stick, Prawn Sarong, Prawn Sabai, Thai Fish Cake & Darling Crab.

[8pcs @ RM30, 12 pcs @ RM45, 16 pcs @ RM60 (max 4 pcs on each item)]

Darling crab was not available and hence, only 11 pcs were served.The chefs of this restaurants are from North East Thailand.

#3: Asian Tapas served with 12 options as well. The 12 options on the menu would be Mango Salad, Satay, Nam Tok, Crispy Herbs Fish, Chili Paste Prawn, Sweet Bean Curd, Kang Kung Belacan, Son In Law Egg, Masaman Curry, Panaeng Curry, Tomyum Soup & Tomkha Soup.

Love the Tomyum Soup big time! I'm not a "hot & spicy" person. If I start taking those, I'll probably need at least 3 glasses of ice water before me. The soup was perfecto! It wasn't thattt spicy and yet it suits my taste buds perfectly.

I find the eggs' name is catchy, "Son In Law Egg".

I heart the ambiance big time. Apart from the beautiful sunset, the restaurant is kitted with ironic furniture from Chiangmai and not to mention, Bali as well. Well, with such ambiance, it is able to cater for around 80pax and they do corporate, wedding and any other occasion you can name as long as it is within the headcount. A nature lover like me would love to dine at a quiet and laid-back restaurant as such where you can hardly find such layout in this island.

All the food served is Halal and vegetarian is also available.

Hard Rock Summer Break 2010 Pool Party

Hello Saturday! The weekend is here AGAIN! Big love. It was a tiring day instead. I spent half my day over at Gurney Hotel before heading for this event. I was quite reluctant but for some reason, I was there just to check out the party, little did I know I was able to bumped into so many people!

I was kinda late. Did not see how the party started but joined them an hour later :)

XVIIII : Traces of Indonesia - Sri Ratih

A good place to stay in Bali :) I did not expect a backpack trip would bring me to such a relaxing places like this. If I were to return to Bali, Sri Ratih would be at the top of my list. Plus, they provide me the most important thing, which was FREE WIFI!

Heard of Babi Guling? Direct conversion would be "Rolling Pig"! Cute, no? David had been Babi Guling-ing since Day 1 when we touched Indonesia. According to him, its a MUST TRY whenever you visit Bali. Hence, Babi Guling! Here we are! Roast more pigs! The thing which amazed me was the fact that Indonesia is one of the most Muslims followers and surprisingly, Babi Guling is one of the local and famous Indon food. We asked our driver to drop us to one of the famous Babi Guling corner.The usual things apply. We walked around before going to the exact destination.

XVII : Traces of Indonesia - Tirta Empul & Rice Terrace

Time to check out and next stop would be Ubud. On our way, we dropped by to a few spots. Tirta Empul Temple which also known as Tampak Siring Temple would be one of them. It is a holy spring water temple located in Tampak Siring Village, Gianyar regency and it is about 39 km eastwards from Denpasar town.

In this inscription, the Tirta Empul is named by the Tirta Ri Air Hampul and then the name has changed into Tirta Hampul and finally become the Tirta Empul. Tirta Ri air hampul is meaning the water emerge or the holy pool (Petirthan) which is the water emerge from the land.

XVI : Traces of Indonesia - Sailand for Kopi Luwak

If I am hardworking enough, I might be able to finish the entire Indonesia backpacking entries by this week. At the rate that I am working on these handful of photos, indeed its a killer but well, each and every of the pictures brought back a lot of memories. We stayed here, Surya Hotel, Kintamani . To be honest when we reached at night, this place looks eerie with no lights were turned on and indeed many funny stuff crossed my head.

We then had our breakfast before we even clean up! We were all so hungry that we can eat cows! While waiting for our meal to be served, as usual, photo taking would be the only pass time.

The overall of Hotel Surya, a good place to drop in if you would like to conquer Mount Batur like we did. After all, we spent only 4hours of sleep here!

Hence, it would be a lunch buffet.

It was windy and I did enjoyed the view while feeding myself.

XIV : Traces of Indonesia - Mount Batur

I still can't believe I did this. Sat did shared with us the itinerary but I never bother to check it out. Little did I know that we were gonna hike a semi active volcano! Anyway, we took a van to the foot of the mountain to our accom, Hotel Surya. We reached the hotel after dinner and it was kinda dark already. Once we were allocated the rooms, I zonked off totally.

Guess what?! I would consider this trip as a hard core one. We were asked to get up at 3am! With lack of sleep and everything else. After washing up, Ai Ling and I dozed off. The place looks scary to me. But who cares, I was too tired to think of anything. Lights off and that't it. I slept after midnight hence waking up at 3 made me so reluctant and I remember telling Ai Ling asking them to carry on with the hike as I left my jacket behind. Imagine, 3am itself was freezing cold. I can't imagine what will happen to me when I reach the peak.

After doing the second thought, while still in a daze, I wash up and got up to the van. The starting point of the trail wasn't far. I consider myself lucky cuz there were windbreaker for rent! Right let be it. Grab one and put it one. Gosh it was so dark! Like I can anything but paddy field and I remember seeing some onions planted as well. A dark ascending journey. Little did I know that I was actually going up to a semi-active volcano. What a challenging task! Carrying food, water and camera in the bag.

The hike going downhill was a lot faster but slippery.Due to that, while going uphill, my shoe was konked and the helper gave me his! I felt so super bad and due to that I decided to buy 4 bottles of coke from him which cost me RM8 per bottle. It was the sincerity and his help actually.

XII : Traces of Indonesia - Uluwatu

In order to enter the temples, we have to at least dress decently, a form of respect at sacred places. Hence, all of us had to put on a sarong, probably we don't look decent enough in our attire. Welcome to Uluwatu, folks!

As soon as the last person, got the sarong on, it started to drizzle! . . . from then, the sarong was used to cover our cameras. Nothing else matters!

Standing at the edge was pretty scary with the wind blowing so strong! Nevertheless, I love how it feels. Sound of the waves hitting the rocks, strong wind blowing, drizzling and having hell of a hard time covering my DSLR.

What if . . . well just jump!
Guess what?! Its INDIAN OCEAN baybehh! I never know of Indian Ocean until I flew across it when I was on my way to Perth. Now, this is a different perspective.

VIII : Before Jakarta

Before boarding for Jakarta, we headed for lunch. We told the driver to bring us to some lower profile places. We wouldn't wanna spend more as there are at least 4 more days left for the trip.

Fruit tea,something which they are famous for and I like the feel of drinking from a bottle.

Ordered Bakso Pisah and this is how it looks like.

Priceless moment with David.Upon Bakso was served, there were limes (not sliced) as well. 3 David (cluelessly): "What is the lime for?" Me: Its for the soup. The next thing he did was, he threw the lime into the soup!(Thanks for the laughs!)

Upon reaching the airport, again, we decided to turkified our bags.

The flight from Yogyakarta to Jakarta toko us about an hour plus if am not mistaken.Welcome to Jakarta folks. Needless to ask, I've definately slept on the plane until it touched down. Hence, no pictures of the flight :)

VII : Traces of Indonesia - Taman Sari Water Castle

The king's playground in short @ Taman Sari Water Castle. One of our last stop before leaving for Jakarta on the Day 2 in Indonesia. I find it really cute to read those signs in Indonesia. Motor parks are known as Parkir Roda 2, and this made me ponder if there are Parkir Roda 3,4,5? LOL.

Mie Tunggal Rasa. Single taste noodle? Simply ironic.

In order to enter, each of us are required to pay the entrance fee of 7,000 Rupiah and if you are entering with a camera, it will cost each of us an additional of a thousand Rupiah which summed up to 8, 000 Rupiah. A thousand Rupiah is about RM0.40 (that's my rate) hence its RM3.20 for the entrance and a partial donation for them to maintain this place. To cheap, no?

... there goes my nail polish. They got chipped off during the trip. Well, there was a guide to bring us around the castle while explaining and telling us the history of the place. He is so generous to do this without any pay. He started to tell us about the place but I was not paying any attention on that. I feel bad now cuz if you really want me to tell whats this place all about, I'll probably spare you the Wikipedia.

While shooting, I noticed something floating on the water.

Pity the little rat.... and hence, this is the huge pool which the King of Yogyakarta built. This is the tower where the Sultan was able to watch his concubines bath naked in the pool. Interesting fact!

I can't be bothered but to cam-ho around the place. I know its vain but what to do?! Its in the blood.

There was this little plant around the pool with red-tiny-fruit. He then picked one and squeezed the juice on my nail. Its a bit sticky. According to him, long ago, it was used as "nail polish" to the olden folks. I guess I can start planting them at home. Save the trees and save money!

Right! Its Aaron again. I think we both walk really slow. Not really. I observed that he is always in my pictures in all our trips! WHY?!

Guess whats this? Well, obviously its a bed. Its actually the Sultan's bed with holes below it for them to warm their room by burning aromatic leaves or etc. Ancient kind fragrances.

Here is the exact spot of the Sultan where He gets to enjoy Himself watching his concubines having fun in the pool. There is another pool, so called private pool which will be used by the Sultan to have fun with the selected concubine. Sounds interesting, no? Hmmphh, frog style were practiced long ago.

Also known to be the tallest, most beautiful and largest Indian temple in the world. In order to do less typing, I have being extremely nice this time as I have inserted the link of the history of Prambanan Temple.

V : Traces of Indonesia - Yogyakarta at night

Have you ever wonder how is Yogya after the sun has set?

Let me show you :) Malioboro, a place for us to mingle around or maybe to get to know the place better. We were like wolves, hunting for food to ease hunger!

The super cheap satay. Not that meaty but it taste more like chicken skin or fats but its super cheap! 4,000 Rupiah for 10 sticks. Well, I hope its chicken. I was like how can it be so cheap?! But again, for people like us, we are not afraid of eating those food sold by the roadside. If you have a weak stomach, I don't suggest or you'll probably need to carry charcoal with you. On top of that, our Pharmacist friend is not with us for this trip. Even we do have charcoal or Pil Chi Kit with us, so far, we have yet make use of it.
I do not remember what exactly the name for the colourful kuih, since I'm here, Imma gonna try all these kinda funny delicacy. Just be nice to my stomach :)

To be frank, I do not know exactly what the ingredients are. I remember bread crumbs, jelly, and the hot ginger soup! If am not mistaken, Yogya is famous for this.

IV : Traces of Indonesia - Candi Mendhut

CANDI MENDUT

Another ultimate temple. We dropped by to visit after Borobudur. After looking visiting Borobudur, Mendut does not bring you that "wow" feeling as its way smaller than Borobudur. Its just a very tiny temple, stand alone architecture. The weather got gloomier, whereby it was drizzling upon getting down from the van ; but nothing else could stop us :D

III : Traces of Indonesia - Candi Borobudur

One of the tips that I might share would be:

* Whenever you visit UNESCO places, remember your student ID. It might help you to save a sum. Just like what I did and FYI, I was no longer a student that time :P
CANDI BOROBUDUR

The temple located in Magelang, Java Tengah which everyone is talking about & famous for. Its a must to visit. I believe regardless which website you surf, whenever you google for Yogyakarta, Borobudur comes with it. Borobudur is the biggest Buddhist temple in the ninth century measuring 123 x 123 meters. It was completed centuries before Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Can you feel the excitement of seeing the Borobudur temple from afar like I do? Well, the entrance alone cost me USD11. Hence, besides Rupiah, do spare some US dollars too. Anyway, they accept Rupiah as well, hence there is nothing to be worried.

According to our tour guide, this corner would allow us to have the best shot of the temple.

Gosh! I actually visited this place 6 months ago, that was when I still have my long fringe. How much am missing it now.
A tour guide is needed in order to understand the place better and a tour guide would cost 75, 000 Rupiah.

Lion Gate Guardian The weather was being really nice to us. The dark clouds were seen afar but not a drop of rain until upon leaving. Well, this Buddhist temple has 1460 relief panels and 504 Buddha effigies in its complex. Millions of people are eager to visit this building as one of the World Wonder Heritages. I didn't expect myself being able to visit one of the World Wonder Heritages :)

The overall architecture is amusing. Don't you think so? Borobudur was built by King Samaratungga, one of the kings of Old Mataram Kingdom, the descendant of Sailendra dynasty. The base of Borobudur, called Kamadhatu, symbolizes human being that are still bound by lust. According to Lambang, our tour guide, he mentioned that there were sculptures of Karma Sutra as well. They actually covered it up as this place is open to the public as it is not suitable for kids.

The upper four stories are called Rupadhatu symbolizing human beings that have set themselves free from lust but are still bound to appearance and shape. On this terrace, Buddha effigies are placed in open space; while the other upper three terraces where Buddha effigies are confined in domes with wholes are called Arupadhatu, symbolizing human beings that have been free from lust, appearance and shape. The top part that is called Arupa symbolizes nirvana, where Buddha is residing.

Actually there is a long history on this temple. It is actually a Buddhist temple. Borobudur lay hidden for centuries under layers of volcanic ash and jungle growth. The center of power moved to East Java region and a series of volcanic eruptions took place.

It is believed that, by standing at the lowest platform and you stretch your hands. If you are able to touch the Buddha's statue and make a wish, your wish would come true. Don't know how true it is but I managed to touch :)

WELCOME TO YOGYAKARTA!

Follow me and I'll bring you to the traces we've been throughout our trip to Indonesia.

After we have touched down at Adisucipto Airport, we headed to where we stayed, a place called Delta Homestay. It is located approximately 30 minutes from the airport. Well, the buildings and everything in Yogjakarta resembles a little bit of Cambodia though or maybe its because its IndoChina.

The journey to Delta Homestay were quite interesting indeed. Managed to catch a glimpse of the town of Yogyakarta before I dozed off. Yes, I was still sleepy! All I remember was, Delta Homestay is located in some narrow road named Jl Prawirotaman. The driver helped us to unload our bags and Satkuru got the rooms allocation done. Two to a room and again, aL, my sleeping partner. When we were given our room keys, it took me awhile to search for my room but what attracted me most is, the swimming pool is just right in front of my room. How nice! My room was the last, located at the end of the building compared to the others. A simple room with a bed and a bathroom, with a sink outside. The room cost us 150, 000 Rupiah per night but it cost me only RM27 when its shared by 2. On top of that, we have aircon too! As usual, we will be given a buffer unloading and refreshment time before heading out. Hence, Borobudur, here we come!

On our way, we did stopped at some camera shop (forgot what the name was) as our forgetful Angeline left her D60's battery at home! YES, AT HOME! No choice but to purchase one over in Indonesia. My main intention was to get a local prepaid card, so that I am able to call the loved one (used-to-be) which we managed to find a super tiny warong-fied prepaid stall . . . and since then, we were geared with Malaysian and Indonesian number without being worried about the roaming charges.

The journey continued, leaving Yogyakarta heading off to Java Tengah (if I am not mistaken) and into some kampung areas until we reached a beautiful restaurant to my very least expectation. How can I actually expect to see such a nice looking restaurant behind a plain white building? No way! ... and there goes, exploring the local delicacy. When Imel's mum came to Penang, she made me Gado-gado, which I have been missing it ever since. Hence, Gado-gado it is :) We dined in this place called Sekar Kedhaton. I came to a point having difficulty in pronouncing Indon names now.

Before food was served, we definitely won't be sitting down quietly but behaving nowhere close to baboon. Instead we mingled around at the same time, snap some pictures of the place.

Guess what?! If I don't picture this, I don't think I can even remember the name of this restaurant.

Till now, I still can't digest this statement. Can anyone enlighten me?

Food was pleasant, not bad and we swapped some as well while looking at the scrumptious meals others were having. On top of the main meal we ordered, we were given bottomless keropoks with sauce. Yums! Looking at the pictures reminded me of how it tasted.

Last year was Cambodia, a great and stylish backpack indeed. As we departed from Siem Reap, we flipped through the AA mag checking out places and hence, Indonesia it is for Jan 2010. I didn't expect that it really happened. Thanks to Satkuru for all the arrangement and the team for the fantastic trip. It would have been better if I traveled with my loved one :P

Being a bit baboonic when entering a neighbour's country ... Funny how things happened.Its the second time traveling with these bunch of bloggers a.k.a Shouters ; and I can never doubt that I might died of boredom with their company. First was Cambodia, which was approximately a year ago when I got freaked out with the traffic in Phnom Penh and fell for the night life in Siem Reap. I know I should have gotten this entry up long ago or maybe completed the entire Indonesia backpack journey way before Philippines started. I am finally back from Philippines and yet, I have not even started Indonesia's a lil bit. Hence, I shall kick it off now or otherwise never. LOL.

Its the second time traveling with these bunch of bloggers a.k.a Shouters ; and I can never doubt that I might died of boredom with their company. First was Cambodia, which was approximately a year ago when I got freaked out with the traffic in Phnom Penh and fell for the night life in Siem Reap. I know I should have gotten this entry up long ago or maybe completed the entire Indonesia backpack journey way before Philippines started. I am finally back from Philippines and yet, I have not even started Indonesia's a lil bit. Hence, I shall kick it off now or otherwise never. LOL.

Besides such adventurous backpacks, it indeed gave me a lot of "first time" experience. Before I start, flaunting pictures of the trip, I would like to thank Satkuru and Angeline for the plans and arrangement, which I enjoyed myself best, "Backpacking with Style" where we eat and sleep like Kings & Queens!

This year indeed would be a brand new year for me, where I finally finished my degree, and started off with my first ever full time job :) I just started of with 2 weeks and upon my boss were to hire me, I told her in advance that I need to take 4 days off. LOL. She gladly approve, otherwise, I might as well gave up the job. XD It was a Tuesday when we were supposed to leave for KL from Penang (applied for Penangites only) as we needed to catch an early flight to Yogjakarta the next morning. The flight was scheduled at around 10.45pm, where I left office at 9.25pm which I still need to head home to collect my ready-packed back-pack before heading to the airport. Little did we know, the damn flight was delayed to an hour later. Pffft! ...which we only managed to reach KL before 1am. I dozed off as soon as I got up the plane. Who cares about turbulence and all those bumpy flight when you're dead tired!

As soon as we touched KL, it felt real good to see the KL folks again, which certainly reminded me on how much fun we had in Cambodia. Aside from being really drained out, I felt rather excited as I have never been to Indonesia, not even a single time. We were hunting for seats around the airport but little did we know that the airport can be fully occupied! Those who managed to conquer the seats slept on the chair, for those who don't, they slept on their surfboards! Okayyy... nothing is left for us but Old Town, our regular time-killer place to go whenever we are at LCCT. Those who were hungry, they fed themselves well enough before getting back into position to hunt for seats around the airport again! We were hunting with our bags till we gave up and gave ourselves away to the super cold floor. It was super duper cold! As soon as asses were landed, they were frozen! Lack of sleep can take me nowhere far, and I definitely need to recharge for the next day which require lots of walking. The last person I saw before my eyes were shut was Satkuru. There goes, in my t-shirt and shorts on the freaking cold floor, with no blanket. That was the moment when I was wanting a surfboard so much.

This picture was taken when I was lying down on the floor, can't be bothered if its clean or dirty!

I got up (intermittent) as I was freezing cold and how I wished so much that someone would be here to wrap around me as well as for the trip. Anyway, bygones are bygones. We were allow to check-in at the kiosk and it was my first time doing so ever since AirAsia implemented. Upon checking-in our bags, a random thought of "turkeyfying" our bags crossed our mind. Hence, RM9 for the wrapping service, as we have heard lotsa breaking baggage stories happened in Indonesia.

Breakfast was at McD, something usual and probably the only thing we eat in LCCT. I was too excited to board. Can't wait to board, can't wait to touch, see and feel Indonesia. The journey from KL to Yogjakarta takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes. I slept till we landed. The airport is smaller than Penang's, and the next usual thing I would do at the airport would be - searching for WIFI! They do have WIFI though its small and humble. Yays to WIFI, especially FREE WIFI!

... and being ignorant, Angeline and Satkuru arranged the transportation for us to move about in Yogyakarta. If my memory did not failed me, it cost us about 70,000 Rupiah per person which sum up to 700, 000 Rupiah for the ride as there were 10 of us for this trip to Yogyakarta. (I guess you can do the convertion yourself) Its a ONE DAY ride including petrol to wherever we desire. Can you guess how did an absent minded person like me can remember the prices of the rental?! ... because ... I was the so called appointed treasurer again (the last time was in Cambodia)! While waiting for our Kia Pregio, there was this urge to answer nature's call. At first, we were looking for the "Toilet" sign in whatever manner they are, whether the logo or the word but we failed to and guess what, the first ever word we learnt as soon as we touched Indonesia is "Karma Kecil", yes, and that means TOILET in Bahasa Indonesia. (Ermmm... you can give yourself a pat now as you have learnt a new word in Indon after reading this entry)

Along the way, I managed to snapped a few pictures ; for instance like Rumah Sakit Dr. S. Hardjolukito :P

and another funny sign which says, "Dilarang Kencing".WTH! I din know there are people who pee along the fence! This is indeed new to me!

As for Yogjakarta, its only a day that we are gonna spend here and there goes . . . WELCOME TO YOGYAKARTA! The Journey in Indonesia officially starts from HERE!

Hiatus with the kids

The idea of heading down South came from me, not entirely but at least, I contributed partially especially when Sook Wan took few days off just to attend her convo. The rest of the colleagues and I were not firm with the idea until we decided to purchase the ticket and hence, since then, the plan had been fixed. As expected, this trip ain't any shopping trip but to actually bring the kids to PetroSains. I know it sounded completely like doing the nanny's job in the weekends. We took the earliest flight which required me to get up at 5am and reached there at about 8am. The first stop will definitely be KLCC. To my surprise, I bumped into Naby at Kinokuniya. Such a small world.

My 24th

I turned 24 last month, yes I did. Well, come to think of it, its the matter of figure afterall. This is what happens when the figure is getting bigger. I can tell that birthday this year ain't that happening compared to the previous but I am contented enough for all that I had this year.

Birthday falls on a Saturday, which initially I thought to myself I should free myself for a weekend and forget about the weekend overtime just for the special day. But, boss requested and hence its not a norm for me to say "No", in other words, I still have not learnt how to say "No" till today.

1) The gifts and the cakes + the celebration were not exactly the highlight of the day. The main thing on top of the rest was receiving a call from Japan, wished and sang me a birthday song, eventhough it did not sound pleasant (just kidding D) LOL but still he is the sweetest! *big hug D with lotsa love*

2) Celebrated with the folks. Mum got me an ice-cream cake this year.

3) A bouquet of roses (now can be used as potpourri) from Sean, all the way from Perth :) It was indeed a super surprise as I never thought he would be such a sweetheart. Initially, I thought it was from someone but I was wrong :( The coolest thing was, he sent it to my workplace. To be honest, I was a bit embarrassed to collect it as I have to walk pass the lobby, cafe and production but again, which girl does not like the attention :)

I might have tried too hard guessing who the sender was and again, he revealed himself after an hour XD

So nice can! Eat roses, shower roses, poo roses, sleep roses. omg!

4) Ben (my manager) and the rest of my fellow colleagues celebrated my birthday for me too. Even those who are not a weekend overtimer turned up on my day! Oh, my! So touched! THANK YOU!

I have taken a lot of photos and I can assure you, the Philippines is such a wonderful place to be even its for a short getaway with your another half. I probably need to screw the idea of blogging on my trips starting from the Indonesia backpack. Guess what? Just a little secret to be shared, I'm leaving for my next backpack tomorrow morning. Nice to get home early as my flight to KL will be at 5.10pm later, reaching KL at probably 6pm, and at least this time, we need not sleep in the airport :P Nearest hotel would be Tune and thanks to Satkuru for doing us such a huge favour. Never thought that I would be traveling with them twice a year. Thanks again, Sat, for the effort you have put in.

A day whereby QE's are able to leave work earlier :)

First of all, I would like to congratulate myself for being able to organize this. What to do... Boss ask me to do, I cannot say no :P (Boss reads this, I die) Anyway, I managed to call 80% hotels in Penang hunting for buffet dinner. First, I need to cater to Muslim for Halal food, and second, we have a vegetarian and of course sorry to those who are on a diet. On top of that, since Ben and Chee Boon is splitting the bill, lets have something better. Indeed, being a nice person, I called up just to make sure there's discount since I have such a nice manager, I shouldn't be taking advantage on that XD

I requested them to send me the menu and the first thing listed was Salad Bar :) Thats it! Its for Mr.Sara, so called vegetarian. LMAO.

The soup station has Soto Ayam Soup which reminded me so much of Indonesia trip. What a memory :) They also have Coconut Pumpkin Soup and Mongolian Hot Pot.

Oh, well. It was still kinda cool for a super short hiatus like that. How I wish for something more.

Going around doing random snaps as a past time, why not?

The weather was indeed hot, but windy.

A bunch of random people were seen waiting patiently for the unfortunate fish.

At the same time, I do wish owning a 55-200mm myself ... Grrrr . . .

But nevermind, I still feel flattered owning just kit lens :)

Finally, I found time to myself and for myself. Needed one badly and I am still looking forward to a getaway with the special someone :P Soon to come, my second half of the year would be fully occupied by work, traveling and if possible, him :)

Despite the fact that the water is kinda dirty, I saw a child who is probably 3-4 years (I don't know) soaking in the water! Somewhat their parents are not worried about them getting flush away by the current or something. Weird!

It had been an effen hectic week but again, what can I say... sighh!

#1: Early "present" from customer

- A RTS unit ATTENTION TO EMILY CHONG ; faulty power supply! Thanks for the workload now $!@& and this was 3 days before the actual

#2: Boss does the count down

- I was counting down the 12 days before the actual ... I reached office at 9am yesterday and guess what?! Ben drew a duck (which was supposing to look like a 2) on my board! LOL! Sucha cranky boss I have :P

But little did I know it was AUSTRALIA! My oh my! I thought so hard wondering who the sender is . . . until the moment he revealed himself! Darn!

Pulau Aman I

It was Yein's random idea of bringing her lil' prince off to this island called Pulau Aman. Well, I have not been there and hence decided to give it a try regardless what am gonna see :)

Its an approx. 40 minutes drive (including us being lost in the mainland) before we were able to reach Batu Kawan's Jetty. My GPS locates it coordinate ; fyi, my first time using that blardy GPS.

Anyway, they have a motor boat almost every half an hour. While waiting . . .

Pulau Aman "runaway" trip!
We need a break away from the island we were belonged to with the thought hoping that our cell phones are gonna be aman (away from office calls) while we are away.

I was told this is called "bread tree" in chinese amongst the local, its actually buah sukun if am not mistaken. Hence till now I still know not what exactly the scientific name for this edible ball.

The water is milky-ish...

I was also told that they serve wonderful noodles here. all fresh from the water.

These are the symptoms I had:

Breathlessness and/or inability to catch your breath when waking up.
Dizziness--unexplained light-headedness, possible blackouts.
Anxiety--unusual nervousness, feelings of impending doom.
Fluttering--rapid heartbeats, palpitations.
Feeling of heaviness, such as pressure-like chest pain between the breasts that may radiate to the left arm or shoulder.

And that was when . . . . . . Mr.Sanjay told me that I am pregnant! WT...efffff!

Fortunately, not! I was on MC today. Like, WOW! Damn!

It was not exactly a bad day, but it is indeed a better idea to pay the Cardiologist a visit before I collapse in the production floor. I was warned many times by various people. LOL. In order to ease the "noise pollution", there I go ; waking up at 7am, hittin' the hospital at 8.30am and helllllll I waited till 1.30pm before I managed to consult the specialist! But again, I was lucky that someone entertained me through text messages. Otherwise, I might just K.O-ed before my heart stops beating.

First, I was asked to do the ECG test. Though the door might look like the entrance to the mortuary but no. Sorry to disappoint you. I was asked to push my bra higher! I gave the lady ==" look whilst being a bit lost. Push higher means? Might as well just tell me to remove.

. . . and these blood suckers took my blood :(

Followed by X-Ray. R.I.P to my cells (T.T)

Had Echo Cardio too. Thats when I was asked to strip. I managed to see my heart beating! It was amazing! Damn! I fear to see something outrageous between my heart . . . and of course it did not! Just that my imagination ran wild. Anyway, it was a young, good-looking Dr who . . . uhm . . . helped me on the Echo Cardio. It was a bit awkward initially for exposing my chest to a stranger (so called doctor). At first, the image of my heart was a bit blur and hence he need to press my *ahems* harder. !@#$%^ Pain like phark and it lasted at least 20 mins. Damn! I pay a few hundreds to be touched. =="

Bangkok : When the City Glows

Its a Sunday, this also mean that its my only day off in a week. I admit I have been spending to much time at work and it has come to a point whereby its not healthy for me. Wait till I go for a medical check-up then only probably I might be able to elaborate further on what I am going through. Anyway, since I get to wake up later than usual without force of the alarm, thats when I have the time to update my dead blog :)

Come to think of it, I was indeed lucky for being able to see the beautiful side of Bangkok; if its compared to the current situation that's for sure.

It was super tiring as the Sky Walk seemed never ending. But along the way, the pedestrian will be entertained as well. Songs were played all along and it really gave the Christmas ambiance even though we were still in an Asian country. LOL. Bangkok is a shopping paradise ; a fact that I am not able to deny, which it was kinda wasted as we were not able to make it for the Chatuchak Weekend Market which is also known as Mother of all Markets. Can you imagine?

There are a gazilion shopping malls in Bangkok which I doubt that we were able to pay a short visit to each and every of the malls.
